This is an extremely rare natural Phenakite gemstone ring. Phenakites are rare, especially colorless and in larger sizes with near perfect clarity - like this one. They are also very hard gemstones, 8 on the Mohs' scale - significantly harder than amethyst, and almost as hard as sapphires. Phenakite has a vitreous luster that has a good dispersion when light hits it's facets - throwing rainbows of colors when exposed to bright light or sunlight.
