Morganite in 14K Rose Gold Ring with Diamonds

This Morganite has a deep peach color and perfectly cut in an oval brilliant shape.  It is VVS in clarity (eye clean) and is 7.5 carats.  We designed a solid rose gold setting with a diamond halo around the gemstone and diamonds on the band.  We set the diamonds in rose gold to complement the Morganite.

What exactly is a Morganite?

Morganites are part of the beryl family, like emeralds, aquamarines, heliodors (canary yellow), goshenite (clear), blue beryl (medium to light blue) and green beryl (light mint green). Morganites are often called 'pink emeralds'. They have a vitreous luster and are usually a peach, blush or peachy pink color. They were discovered in San Diego County, CA, are named after J. P. Morgan. They are hard - 7.5 to 8 on the Moh's Scale, so they make durable jewelry.
