This gemstone ring has a natural untreated umbalite garnet. This garnet has a gorgeous color with a lot of sparkle. It is a deep red with vibrant, neon red sparks. Umbalite garnets, of this quality and size, are difficult to get as this one is exactly 11 carats and is from the Umba Valley in Tanzania.
This superb, hybrid gemstone has top quality diamonds set in solid 18K yellow gold. As this is such a large garnet, we put a side halo of diamonds on it, with diamonds on the setting basket and also the band. This garnet also has a fancy cutting: 14-sided round with large faceting on the crown. It was cut by a master cutter in Oregon.
